 Our Mission The mission of the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation is to support children battling cancer by funding programs that improve patients’ quality of life, treatment programs that increase survivorship and pediatric medical research dedicated to finding a cure. In addition, the Foundation provides support to the Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Hospital in Our Vision It is our vision that there will be a day when no child will face the uncertainty of cancer and that successful treatments will not result in negative, long-term effects. In addition, we envision that the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital will serve as a model to other communities who want to provide the highest quality of care to all their children, regardless of their ability to pay.
Our Promise Each year, the foundation publishes a list of objectives that will outline current strategies necessary to realize our vision. Collectively, these strategies are known as Our Promise. Progress reports on Our Promise are regularly posted throughout the year.
To increase annual grant funding 1.75 million dollars by 2011. To partner with leading pediatric oncology treatment and research centers, ensuring that our investment will lead to the most promising outcomes for children with cancer. To expand our reach into global pediatric cancer issues by partnering with lead organizations and research centers in order to improve access to existing treatments in the developing world. To support expansion of the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital pediatric sub-specialty services by providing funding for capital investment, community outreach programs and training. To develop the groundwork necessary to ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of the Foundation. |
